Mr. Joseph Chunga

Joseph Chunga is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research (CSR) and Lecturer in Political Science at the Department of Political and Administrative Studies, Chancellor College, University of Malawi. He holds a Bachelors degree in Public Administration and Master of Arts degree in Political Science. As a Research Fellow, Joseph Chunga is responsible for designing and implementing research projects for the CSR especially in the areas of Governance and Democracy. Specifically, his areas of interest are democratization, political institutions, constitutionalism, public policy analysis, politics of development, and international relations.

 

In his role as Lecturer, he has taught various courses including Comparative Politics, Politics of Development, International Relations, Regional Integration and Cooperation, Politics of Southern Africa, African Politics, and Political Thought. In addition, he is coordinator for MA in Political Science program. Joseph Chunga is also currently a serving President of the Political Science Association in Malawi and a members of South African Political Science Association. His recent papers include:
